Peter Nelson was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation in northern Arizona. He is a graduate of The Institute of American Indian Arts, Santa Fe, NM and has been silversmithing since the early 1970's. His award-winning jewelry designs are inspired by the Navajo rug weavings of his mother and three sisters. Peter has won numerous awards for his handmade Native American jewelry from the most reputable shows in the southwest including Blue Ribbon Awards from Northern Arizona Museum, Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum Show and Gallup Inter-Tribal Ceremonial.
We are honored to be one of few selected representatives of Peter Nelson jewelry and dedicated to offering the best online selection and price. Seldom do we get more than we pay for, however we believe that authentic Native American jewelry in general and Peter Nelson jewelry in particular is one of the few exceptions to the rule. Consider the years it takes an artist to master their style and the time and materials necessary to create their handmade Native American jewelry and we think you'll agree it is a keepsake to be cherished for generations.
